Super Poot ("we", "us", "our") is a free browser-based clicker game. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. We believe in transparency and keeping things simple — just like our game.

We only collect information if you choose to create an account. Playing the game without signing in does not require any personal data.

If you sign in, we collect:

• Email address — used solely for magic-link authentication (no passwords).
• Poot count — the number of poots attributed to your account.

How We Use Your Information

• Authentication — we send one-time magic-link emails to verify your identity.
• Saving progress — your poot count is stored so it persists across sessions.
• Global counter — individual clicks contribute to a shared global poot counter visible to all players.

What We Don't Do

• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.
• We do not serve advertisements.
• We do not use analytics trackers, tracking cookies, or any third-party tracking scripts.
• We do not profile users or build marketing lists.

localStorage Usage

Super Poot does not use cookies. We use your browser's localStorage strictly for functionality:

• Session token — keeps you signed in (if you have an account).
• Avatar selection — remembers which poot character you chose.
• Tutorial state — prevents the first-visit tutorial from replaying.
• Cached poot count — lets the counter display while offline.
• Offline queue — stores clicks made while offline so they can sync later.

All localStorage data stays on your device and is never transmitted to any third party.

Data Storage

• Your data is stored securely on our servers.
• Sessions expire automatically after 7 days.
• Magic-link tokens expire after 30 minutes and are single-use.

Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by opening the sidebar menu and clicking "Delete my data" (visible when signed in). This permanently removes your email, poot count, sessions, and all related records.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Account creation requires age verification. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to create an account. Users under the applicable age threshold cannot sign in or store personal data. The game itself can be played without an account at any age.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
